Midnight has been put into service as the router from 29/10/10. Its internal dns was changed to ace in order to make the transition easier.

Midnight has 2x146GB Seagate Cheetahs, set up in RAID 1. Installing the system required a few tricks - the partitions had to start from the end of the disk, and the system needs to be rebooted during the install *before* setting up SILO in order to reload the partition information.

Midnight has been put into service as the router from 29/10/10. Its internal dns was changed to ace in order to make the transition easier.

Disks

Midnight has 2x146GB Seagate Cheetahs, set up in RAID 1. Installing the system required a few tricks - the partitions had to start from the end of the disk, and the system needs to be rebooted during the install *before* setting up SILO in order to reload the partition information.
