NB: This is a mockup for the text to be distributed in a flier to prospective Informatics students during the 2007 Open Day.

The Tardis Project is a student-run Unix computing service hosted by the School of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh - we maintain a number of Sun and PC machines, running a mixture of Debian Linux and Solaris. Accounts are provided by request, free of charge, to any students within the University. We currently support a large number of users and provide facilities for various university societies.

Whether you are a newcomer to the world of Unix system administration, or you have previous experience and would just like the opportunity to get more hands-on experience in a live environment with real users, Tardis provides excellent opportunities for learning and experimentation.

For more details about the Tardis Project, including comprehensive system and service information and contact details, please see our website: http://www.tardis.ed.ac.uk. All enquiries are welcome!
